James King – Principal Lawyer
James King is the Principal Lawyer of Legitimate Solutions Legal and Managing Director of Legitimate Solutions Pty Ltd. He combines technical legal skills with management expertise, commercial acumen and an understanding of government.
James has a wealth of experience in the energy utilities sector, legal compliance and In House Counsel responsibilities. While working as a solicitor for some years James practised in the areas of native title, commercial litigation, property, employment, insurance litigation, corporate and commercial with exposure to family, criminal, administrative, and immigration.
James undertook consulting contracts researching, developing, drafting and implementing manuals, policies and plans. He has developed safety and operating plans, customer contracts, customer charters and commercial documentation.
James established the legal counsel office for a major energy company, implemented legal risk plans, selected a panel of legal firms to deliver services according to service level agreements and advised management and the Board on legal matters. Conference planners ask James to present papers as an expert in the areas of legal compliance and in house legal counsel.
James was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. His family immigrated to Western Australia in 1977. He attended the University of Western Australia where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in politics and industrial relations. He was then employed in a Western Australian state government Minister’s office working on electorate and ministerial matters in the areas of health, police and emergency services and conservation and land management.
James travelled to Canberra in 1990 to study at the Australian National University. He completed a Bachelor of Laws (Graduate) (Honours) and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Completion of a Master of Business Administration (Executive) at the Australian Graduate School of Management gives James a strong grounding in management principles. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Military Law from the ANU and is currently completing a Master of Military Law. James is a Legal Officer in the Navy Reserve.
Jessica Mazoue – Para Legal – Conveyancer
Jessica has been working in the Legal Industry in various roles since 2005, starting out as a junior receptionist, progressing to personal assistant, settlement clerk, and conveyancer.
Jessica has found her home in conveyancing. Jessica takes pride in her work and is very client focused. She is always striving to make conveyancing transactions as smooth and stress free as possible for our clients.
Jessica works in with clients, incoming Bank, Mortgage Brokers, Agents and other Law firms to ensure matters exchange and settle.
Max Mele – Para Legal – Office Manager
Max has vast experience built up over time operating businesses and as an employee. His knowledge of property and conveyancing matters ensures clients are well served when buying or selling property.
Max works in with clients, incoming Bank, Mortgage Brokers, Agents and other Law firms to ensure matters exchange and settle.
